G&K is planning to construct a 47,000-gallon wastewater equalization (EQ) tank at a location immediately south of the main building at the Graham facility. As part of the preparation work for the EQ tank installation, G&K’s EQ tank installation contractor retained a geotechnical engineering firm to evaluate the suitability of the soil in the planned new EQ tank area for providing sufficient structural support to the new EQ tank, some Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC) were detected. G&K retained VEETech to conduct investigations to assist in identifying possible impacts of VOCs.
